Whether you're looking to lose weight, get fit, push yourself or compete, changing your workout is crucial to avoiding plateaus - which is when, despite all your efforts, your body stops changing - as well as boredom. It also provides the opportunity to try new things, and from such freedom, you will find something you love doing.
I change my workout every month, and have done for years. And I always blog it.
Here, you'll find every workout I've tried, be it a DVD, streamed program/free video or a magazine class - I've never set foot in a gym, so you can trust that everything you'll find here is living room-friendly! I've also included each year's new year's resolution - one of them might surprise you.
I always write an intro post first, at the start of each month, outlining expectations and anything I've heard about the workout - but no personal experience yet. I never play the DVD until I'm ready to use it! Then comes a 2-week update which clears up my misconceptions, then a 4-week update which rounds off how I found the workout, then, last but not least, a full review of the workout DVD, book, website, program - whatever medium it was in.
I've tried dance, HIIT, yoga, Pilates, kettlebells, martial arts, and even a few things that don't really fit into any single one of these categories. Have a look for yourself - I am confident you'll find something to catch your eye!
The vast majority of these workouts were purchased or chosen by myself.
Workouts indicated with a * were provided by the creators for free for use and review on A Blackbird's Epiphany.
All opinions are certainly my own. I will never falsify a review - that doesn't help the company, myself, nor you.
