Bookmark Dump

The Curious Pug - one of my absolute favourite blogs - has moved. She is now Habitual Homebody. I have to admit, I preferred the previous name, but sometimes there is a need for change.

Vivid Please has posted a wonderful "mountain jewellery" tutorial a few weeks ago - it looks wonderful, but I have yet to try it.

I bought the book I mentioned in my last Bookmark Dump, and while it was very helpful, it was also a little too serious, considering that I've not drawn for a long, long time. So now I've purchased this Monster Book of Manga - manga is somewhat less serious as far as drawing goes, so it's a great place for me to start from. Not only that, but I expect the drawings will give me ideas for my own original pieces - manga and anime is always so very unique as far as clothing, hair styles and physical traits go.

An awesome GIMP tutorial for a fake tilt-shift photograph effect. I love the effect, and I tried it myself, - it's very picky, you really need to have exactly the right photograph for it really, something taken at a distance.

This post with lots of yummy dinosaur treats, including the dinosaur fossil cake by yours truly.
