10 Best Advent Calendars for 2017

Oh I love advent calendars. In my 26 years, I've never been without one. Even when I was little and had £1 Whinnie the Pooh calendars, I've loved them. The chocolate (obviously), the picture behind the door, and tearing the doors off and keeping them for a reason I don't think I was ever very clear on.
But as I've grown older, I've grown tired of supermarket advents. They're always a disappointment. You'd think the price was a hint. And since I've become more interested in health and fitness, I prefer my chocolate to be decadent and worth every calories ad gram of sugar and fat. It's just that simple. So I eat it less often, but when I do, it's heaven. And I expect the same from my advent calendar.
That's generally why I make my own, to guarantee I get exactly what I like (and to stuff that 25th day with enough chocolate that the door will only just close - thank goodness for magnets!). But after having seen a few rather awesome ones this year, I decided to compile a list of the top 10 advent calendars for 2017 that I've seen thus far.
...And yes, I did buy that marshmallow one. Are you kidding me? I'm toasting that sucker every evening. Oh yes.
