Raspberry Ketone: 4 Weeks Later

Product Rating: ★★★★☆    Personal Results Rating: ★★☆☆☆

Well, I've been taking Raspberry Ketone for the past month. I wasn't really sure what to expect when I began, or at least I didn't want to expect too much. I've always been extremely sceptical about the effectiveness and even safety of taking supplements, but I have learned that, generally, the products are safe if they're from reliable sources and are taken exactly as instructed. The bottle said to take no more than 2 capsules a day, and even when I was curious and had a 'what's the worst that could happen?' moment, I didn't exceed that amount.
The thing with these kinds of things, as I said when I started, is that they're different for everyone, and they also depend on how you conduct yourself while taking them. There is no such thing as a quick fix, especially where weightloss is involved, and in that case you also don't want one. The quicker you lose the weight, the easier it'll be to gain back. Losing weight gradually and steadily is the key to keeping it off.

Unfortunately I don't have much of a verdict to deliver on raspberry ketone. I worked out harder and ate better this month than usual because I wanted the capsules to work, which lends itself to the end results. I have lost weight, and more weight than usual but only by a little bit. But because I did so well in regards to exercise and eating, I don't know how much good the capsules themselves actually did, but I do know for a fact they wouldn't have done a thing if I'd just sat down and not bothered working out this month. This is something that some people don't realise: supplements are aids, they're not solutions. None of these kinds of things work at all if you don't also exercise and eat properly while using them, which is part of the reason that they have such mixed reviews.
So, while I'm not at all convinced that the raspberry ketone had any direct impact on my weightloss, I can say that it did have an indirect one. I wouldn't have worked out as hard or eaten as well as I did this month if I wasn't taking them. Because I was taking these things, I was far more aware of what and when I ate, and how long and at what intensity I exercised, because I had no idea if it was going to make me ill or do some kind of harm (you never know), and if I was going to risk that, I was going to do everything properly. Plus, y'know, it would have been a waste of money if I didn't.

So, February's verdict is neutral. The psychological effect the capsules had on me was worth the time and the money, and I'm pleased to say that I had no kind of adverse reaction to them at all. I still have about 15 days of capsules left, so I'm going to continue to take them, but during the last 10 days I'm going to drop it down to 1 a day instead of 2, just to ween off of them. I highly doubt there are any addictive side effects, but rather I'm concerned that if they are doing my body good, my body might suddenly start complaining if I outright stop taking them.

I'd suggest, if you're thinking about it, just try it. Reviews are mixed - some people say it's a load of rubbish, while others will genuinely swear by it. Whether the people who swear by it were under the same psychological effect I was (ie a placebo effect), and those who say it's rubbish just took them and made no other effort, I don't know. There are also dieticians amongst these reviewers, and even among them no single answer can be agreed upon. I'd say, as long as you're not allergic to anything, pregnant or any of the usual restrictions, try them. Real Nutrition Co still has the introductory offer of 90 Capsules for £4.99 instead of £15 (add a bottle of 90 to your cart and use the code 'FREE' at checkout) but I don't think it's going to last much longer. I also realise that that offer makes them seem cheap and even dangerous but they're not. Real Nutrition Co are an amazing and honestly reliable company, and occasionally they do have some pretty extreme sales, though it's uncommon. Most products they sell are really very expensive, and all of them are amazing quality. I swear by their whey protein shakes after strength training. Vanilla Cream = yum.

I am still considering Real Nutrition Co's Lean-R8, but I'm not too keen on the idea of taking a hundred different supplements at the same time, or one straight after another. I'll get myself some while I can still get them in their introductory sale and keep them for a few months. Though, in the sale, you can only get a bottle of 30 capsules in that offer; you have to pay full price for the 120 capsule bottle but 30 is a perfectly reasonable amount for a trial run to be honest. Better to start off small rather than assuming it's going to work and then ending up with loads you're not going to use.
